    Work has begun on the early stages of drafting the Orange City Council budget for the next financial year.

    Now’s a good time for putting your good idea up for discussion.

    Your idea might be :

    • A small project in your neighbourhood (a new playground, a new local footpath or an upgrade at a sporting field)
    • A big-picture budget strategy (suggest a current activity where spending could be raised or lowered)
    • Or, whatever matters to you.

    Brooklands wetlands footpath. Construction of a wide footpath around the wetlands continuing South East along the creek to Kearneys Drive.

    Upgrade to ploughmans hill estate concrete tunnel park.

    The current park includes a bunch of concrete tunnels and 1 swing. Suggestion to include more fun play equipment and perhaps utilize the field area around with something the older kids can enjoy. Skate park or pump track would benefit the whole community. Perhaps even some more seating and bbqs to make the area more community friendly.

    A safe crossing for orange high students to walk safely home to west orange estates

    Currently there are no safe crossing from orange high for children to cross over the Forbes road (escort way) into areas such as bel air estate and ploughmans hill estate. They are crossing an extremely busy road at peak traffic times. Some type of crossing such as lights or an overpass would be beneficial in preventing a serious accident for our children making their way to and from orange high school

    Footpaths in suburbs where there are none. Not too safe walking on the road
