It is really hard to navigate the roundabouts. My mother have difficulty walking and for her it is hard to walk all the way up to the pedestrian crossing on Kite Street. A designated bike lane that are separated from cars would also be great.

0 comment2wwwalkeralmost 3 years agohave bicycle parking racks or trails
Have bicycle parking racks so people can safely cycle and park the bicycle and lock it up so it is not stolen. Bicycles take up much less parking than cars and are much faster than walking. There could be small bicycle trails if pedestrians or shops complain of too many bicycles. Bicycles also carry more than a pedestrian so the sales will go up increasing business. People could commute from home to buy one or two things then cycle home again. Everyone must lock up as there are many bicycle thieves in Orange. I have had a bicycle stolen and it was never found.
0 comment6wwwalkeralmost 3 years agobusking spot or speaker's corner
Have a reliable busking spot where Council and shops are happy to have it. It could be a speaker's corner like in Hyde Park London. Music adds zest to a town. Orange is a very musical town. I busked there once and found it invigorating meeting people and making the town musical on the street. Live music on the street encouraged people I met to study music at the Conservatorium so it can increase the music skills in Orange and help grow the orchestra and local talent pool from which bands or groups can be formed or musicians play in local churches. Music is a wonderful way to meet people. I played Irish and Scottish folk music on violin when I was in Orange. Orange is a very Celtic town.

simonwrightalmost 3 years agoIf Council is really serious about a food street, shut off to traffic after 5pm and w/ends and make a european style piazza with markets etc
1 comment3Geminigail.over 2 years agoSeriously. The biggest attraction in Orange is the wide streets. Leave them alone and concentrate on infrastructure (especially water).
Leave Lords Place (and all other streets) alone.

0 comment1Zacrugbynutover 2 years agoRestore the old theatre to its original form
You should reopen the old theatre and restore it to its original form and we could get a whole heap of old theatre and candy bar things.
0 comment2Caroline&Davidover 2 years agoOrange needs a place/places for people to sit/meet/eat that is off the highway. We need other attractions too besides food, wine and sport..
