Budget 2019

In regards to the talk of $25mil on a new sports stadium the land purchased is in the wrong area.
3 options
1-Race track
2-Show ground
3-Bloomfield golf course
Either move the race track to the showground or the showground to the racetrack, create a multi complex. Then build the stadium at the one left out.
or use the crown land at Bloomfield golf and merge wentworth and ex services golf clubs then Bloomfield course give 9 holes to the hospital to expand in future,
give 9 holes to the join jack bratham park and create a multi mega sports precent with the stadium in the middle and parking for the hospital and public to use.

Like so many other residents in the Wentworth Estate area I would like to see a playground built. We live in an area with so many young families like my own, yet do not a park that is within safe walking distance. The Ploughmans wetland area is so beautiful and such a popular spot for families to walk and bike ride, why not finish it off properly with a park in the land adjacent?

I lend my support to the call for a children's playground in the Wentworth estate. In addition to the many families with young children in the area, I often notice families from other parts of Orange driving their cars to the wetlands area to enjoy the walk. What better way of supporting the Live section of Orange City Council's community plan which emphasises a healthy lifestyle and a sense of belonging than creating an engaging children's playground for residents and visitors alike.

The recent planting day at Ploughmans Wetlands indicates the high level of community engagement as does the number of comments on this site supporting a playground. Many residents of Wentworth Estate also care sufficiently for their environment by picking up rubbish thrown out of cars driving along Ploughmans Lane. A playground would increase the feeling of belonging by bringing residents together more frequently and, given the commitment to the area already noted, the residents would no doubt care for the area.

Return the Standards Australia subscription to Orange City Library. Standards are required by many small businesses access to the standards library would be very beneficial to local small businesses

The children of Wentworth Estate need a playground - in 2019 these should be mandatory in every new housing development. Orange City Council - please consider this genuine request.

It’s ridiculous that Wentworth Estate does not have a playground for the children - surely this is a requirement of developments? I urge you to consider this urgently

I would love a playground to be considered for Wentworth Estate. I, like many residents, have a young family that would utilise this equipment regularly.

Local business flags in main street when the poles are empty when there are no events on.

We 100% need lights around the big skatepark, 1) it would be safer at night 2) many people want lights there and... Over all we need lights there...

We would love to see a playground built on the corner of McGuire ave and Sunny South Crescent. The is a council park with nothing.
There are a lot of kids in the area and with only elephant park (which gets extremely busy) it would be nice to see somewhere close by they could enjoy.

How about cleaning out and upgrading our water storage like suma park. While they are low.

I would like to submit the need for adequate lighting at the Moulder Park Velodrome. At present there are old light posts but we are unable to use them.

A full upgrade would allow usage of the facility all year from carnivals to night training and maybe even evening cricket sessions.

I would like to submit that Wentworth Estate be considered for a Childrens Playground. This estate is now quite established with many young families and all we have is 2 swings. We need a playground in the area to cover infant school age up to teen age. We have lived in this area for over 10 years and our children have missed out on this joy, while even North Orange has been given a playground with equipment in its much newer areas.

There is already plenty of area on the corner of Isaac Drive and Stirling Avenue and would enhance the area for our children which love the Wetlands, but would like something to play on.

Please consider our putting funds towards a park in the Wentworth estate area.

Please put some money in the budget to upgrade the seating area and grounds around John Lomas skate park. The existing seating is badly damaged and the popularity of the skatepark has eroded the ground around so the seats are too high and very uncomfortable. It would be great if you could fund an extension of the concrete over the worn area and replacement of the seats with more rugged seats (perhaps that could also double up as features of the skatepark when there are less people sitting on them). Good seats encourage parents to hang around, providing a safer environment for younger users of the park. The skatepark must be one of the area's most used outdoor facilities. It could really do with a bit of an upgrade where it's been worn out.

I would also love to see a playground of some sort built in the Wentworth estate where currently one swing set is located. The swing set that has been there for many years is great but it would be nice for the children to have a few more options to play on. It would be great for the residents of the estate to be able to walk their children to a playground. Thank you for reading this and I hope these ideas are seriously considered.

Please. Please. Reset the seats surrounding the John Lomas skate Park. The seats are way too high and lean too far back and when you're a parent sitting there for an hour it is extremely uncomfortable.
