Work will begin later this year on the construction of a new bridge over the railway line in Forest Road.

An independent consultant has reviewed the potential impacts of the project, including factors such as :
  • delays to traffic,
  • proposed detours,
  • noise & dust, etc.
Now is the stage when you can have your say about any aspect of this review. You can download the review here.

You can either make a formal submission to the council, or leave a comment here.
Consultation has concluded

On behalf of the students, families and staff of James Sheahan Catholic High School we congratulate the Council on this new bridge. We are mindful however that as a direct result more traffic will be moving along Anson Street during this time. With the recent improvements near Sir Jack Brabham Park we have already seen more traffic movements. We ask Council to undertake a review of the traffic movements along the road with the view to either adding traffic lights in front of the school or some other form of additional safety for our students and families.

We have already had some near misses and we pray that a sensible solution is found to the increased risk to lives and injury of road users and pedestrians.
